How to Print and Scan for NextGen

Summary:
- The Nextgen Cloud RDP desktop is a virtual computer that has Nextgen installed on it.
- This computer is accessible from anywhere in the world.
- In order to Print from or Scan into Nextgen requires a compatible device that utilizes WIA or TWAIN drivers.
NOTE:
- Printing requires companion software
- Remote Desktop Must be closed prior to opening TSprint or TSScan
- In the event of installation failure, scroll to the “most common issues” section at the end of the article
Process:
Before you install…
- Download the relevant companion software
- For printing: TSPrint - https://www.terminalworks.com/downloads/tsprint/msi/TSPrintMSI.msi
- For Scanning: TSScan - https://www.terminalworks.com/downloads/tsscan/msi/TSScanMSI.msi
- Prior to Installation, CLOSE all remote desktop sessions. This includes NextGen.
Installing the Companion software

TS Print–
- Simply running TSPrintMSI.msi program will automatically install the program.
- No further configuration will be required

TS Scan–
- Simply running TSScanMSI.msi program will automatically install the program.
- No further configuration will be required

Once Software has been installed, printers and scanners should appear within the remote desktop and work seamlessly.
Most Common Issues
If there is an error that appears during installation stating that all remote desktop programs must be closed, please follow the following procedures
- When installing, Remote Desktop may not close properly, or running in the background.
- To ensure closing of remote desktop applications, Open task manager by right clicking on the bottom navigation bar and pressing task manager:
- Within the Process tab, search for the “Remote Desktop Connection” or “Remote Desktop” program that is running.
- Right click on the process and, in the new pop-up menu, click “end task”.
- Re-run the installation process
